"It's a zionist's tear off a genocide's cheek" - why antisemite means nothing anymore

British stand-up comedian, Stewart Lee, a man who famously looks like the Bosnian Serb warlord, Radovan Karadžic who has let himself go, once said "it's like a child urine off an old man's face". He was referring to a time, when as a baby, he urinated on his grandfather's face & the family laughed it off.

While on a family holiday to Malta, Lee was stood with his grandfather, a WW2 RAF veteran, at an old ornate urinal, who was trying to shoot flies with his urine, but his stream was so weak it couldn't even knock them off the porcelain. The punchline of his definitional style of a rabbling monologue with seemingly no end is that, as his grandfather would mutter, "I like to pretend they're Germans", but for me, the funniest line is the family saying he invents, "It were child's urine off an old man's face."

The flies are anyone who criticises Israel's crimes, the stream of piss is the accusation of antisemitism, and the flies have stopped caring, because these accusations are foundationless, meaningless & irrelevant. Lee's infamous bit from his "Comedy Vehicle" series on BBC where he talks about childhood and is rather bizarrely representative of the entire "antisemitism" accusation that the zionist project uses: an old tired line, past its prime, aiming at targets they can't reach, pretending they're fighting a war, with weapons that no longer work.

Lee builds the routine's momentum by describing how his own urine stream has weakened with age. As a young man, he describes it as a "riot control water cannon", but now it's a "crop sprayer" that descends in a fine mist, "toxic to weasels". Those weasels are liberal zionists, who pearl clutch their way through a genocide, denying it as deniers before them did for the Holocaust, enabling fascism.

This is precisely what has happened to the term "antisemitic", which used to mean something, even though its origins are problematic to say the least, having been invented in 1879 by a white supremacist German pseudo-scientist and eugenicist. It used to be a real charge, a form of hatred that needed to be fought, but now it's that fine mist Lee refers to. It descends on everyone, toxic & can't knock a single fly off the porcelain, even those who are genuinely being antisemitic. I'm waiting for the day when zionists call bagels antisemitic, because the circular shape evokes the siege of Jerusalem; or the number six is, because six million is a dog whistle for Holocaust deniers, six is half of 12, 12 tribes, ergo, antisemitic; or even Yom Kippur as fasting is a form of hunger strike, which is a tactic of Hamas.

When a kite is antisemitic, when a watermelon sticker is antisemitic, when falafel, charities, human rights reports, babies, ceasefires, a child's drawing, Christmas sermons, when breathing is antisemitic, when existing is...then nothing is. The word is dead, zionists murdered it, like they did to Palestinian babies in Al Shifa's maternity unit. They sprayed it at everything until it meant nothing & now they're standing at the urinal, stream dribbling onto their shoes, soaked in it, wondering why no one's taking them seriously anymore. And before anyone says it, comparing false weaponised claims of antisemitism to soiling yourself is antisemitic, I have news for you, you are the problem.

Lee's grandfather is fighting WW2 in his head, at a urinal in Malta, decades after the war, aiming at flies, pretending they're Nazis. Stream weak, enemy imaginary, war over, yet he doesn't know it. Zionism is fighting it's own war that's already over, a war that was never what they claimed it to be. Their enemy is anyone criticising Israel's crimes, their antisemite anyone who doesn't comply with their delusion.

The grandfather's delusion is he's still fighting Nazis, and as zionist's project themselves on to others, any of their critics become Nazis, both are trapped in a past that doesn't exist, aiming at flies & calling them Germans. The grandfather pretends the flies are Nazi Germans, the zionist pretend critics of their political ideology are antisemites. See them for what they are: tired, old, urine dribbling on to their shoes, soaked in their own accusations, convinced they're heroes. The flies don't care, the flies know they were never Germans, never antisemites, but zionist can't admit that, as their imagined war is all they have left.

Lee's family didn't argue with the grandfather, didn't correct him, didn't explain the war was over, that the flies weren't Germans, that his stream was weak, they just laughed. They invented a saying, they made it a jokem and that's what we must do now, no more arguing, no defending, no justifying, no more explanation. We can laugh, we can invent a saying, make it the joke we all already know it is, "It's a zionist's tear off a genocide's cheek." That's all they deserve, we shouldn't waste any more time justifying ourselves, arguing about whether it is or is not antisemitic, defending our moral compasses which are rightly tuned, or explaining to zionists they are committing genocide. Let's focus our efforts more effectively.

The phrase he invents is a dismissal, meaning that your opinion is worthless, criticism meaningless, existence pathetic, and as the audience sits in near silence, he uses his trademark satirical attack to turn on his audience for not "getting the joke", highlighting how a select few of elite audience members laugh and enjoy themselves with their imaginations intact, while the rest are in attendance by some form of accident.

A crucial part of every Lee show is his on-stage frustration with the audience, who he accuses of not laughing hard enough, not "getting it", he routinely mocks the majority for not appreciating the complexity of his layered storytelling. He turns on them, mocks them, patronises them. In this set, it's the ultimate put-down, wrapped in the image of a child urinating on his grandfather's face.

Lee's audiences often sit in near silence as his rabblings build to a sometimes raging crescendo, whereby he errupts before a realisation. They don't laugh, some times they genuinely don't get it. Some are indeed in attendance by accident, but a few, a select few, laugh. They get it, their imaginations are fully intact, not dulled by adulthood. You're one of those people, you, reading this now, you get it. You're not a genocide denying zionist, you're not a liberal zionist, you're not one of them, you're one of us.

This is exactly what zionists do when you challenge them on their use of antisemitism accusations, because they deny the opportunity to engage with the substance, they can't defend the accusation, so they attack you, making themselves the victims of their perpetually abhorrent behaviours, views, opinions & beliefs. They call Jews self-hating, call people "raging antisemites", because they want to exhaust you into silence, not to understand your view point.

This is called DARVO, Deny, Attack, Reverse-Victim-Offender. It's a psychological manipulative tactic deployed by people with Narcissist Personality Disorder. Not everyone who uses DARVO is a narcissist, but everyone with NPD without fail will use DARVO, as it's their number one technique to avoid accountability, deflect blame & manufacture imagined victimhood. They are like Lee's on-stage persona: petty, patronising, frustrated. They get angry when you refuse their victimhood, when you flip the script on them & their manipulative behaviour. They are angry that you're not taking them seriously, that their weapon no longer works, that can't even knock a fly off porcelain, and like Lee's persona, they mistake their performance for reality.

It never ends, and that's the exact point. Zionist accusations are a rambling monologue with seemingly no end, going on and on and on. It's designed to exhaust you, to shame you, to guilt you into silence, to wear you down, make you give up. They never stop calling everything and anything antisemitic, because that is the entire point, it can never resolve, it must keep going, because you're supposed to give up, supposed to be silent, supposed to stop. This is like a child relentlessly asking for an ice cream you already said no to, if you relent, they wont learn a lesson.

This is a zionist's self-sealing logic, it can't be falsified, as every counterargument you provide becomes evidence for their original false claim. False claims of antisemitism don't just collapse everything into one, they consume the objection itseld. And here's the deeper point, it's not even that the word has been overused, it's that the word has been engineered to be unfalsifiable. That's why it's dead, as it's already eating itself.

Example: they call you an antisemite, you say you're not, they say denying it is what an antisemite would do, you say that's a logical fallacy, they say accusing Jews of logical fallacies is antisemitic, you say you're not accusing Jews, they say you're conflating Judaism and Zionism, you say they're the ones conflating them, they say you're gaslighting, you say DARVO, they say that's antisemitic, and the fly is still on the porcelain, stream still dribbling. The word is still dead, RIP.

The weaponisation of antisemitism as a fallacy, a constant non-sequitar, should be ignored, it should never silence you from speaking your mind, for standing with the oppressed against the oppressors. It's a dying racist ideology's last, desperate weapon. So stop treating it like it matters. Stop letting it silence you, scare you, making you hesitate. You know you don't hate all Jews, you only want The Genocide to stop and for Palestine to be liberated from the terrorist ideology of zionism.

When they call you an antisemite, laugh, ask them if they know the origins for the term. When they try to exhaust you, walk away, or stand and fight back if you feel able. When they spray their weak stream at you, let it dribble onto their shoes, point and laugh along with the joke, you're in the elite club of Lee audience members who 'get it', you're not a genocide denier.

This is what it feels like to be called an antisemite by a zionist in 2026, as its no longer a serious charge, just a joke. It's neither a legal finding, nor a moral judgment, it's a badge of honour, its a child's urine off an old man's face. If you haven't been called an antisemite by a zionist, perhaps you aren't being as good a Palestinian ally as you think you are.
