The Fear & The Silence
Sa'eda's husband and all seven of her own children, two sons and five daughters, the youngest who was only three years old, were murdered by people saying they are Jewish. She now cares for her niece who lost both legs, another niece who lost an eye, her nephew who lost the use of his arm, because they were maimed and their parents murdered by people who proudly announce their crimes to the world, claiming to be Jewish.
"No one calls me mum" she told the UN Human Rights Council.
You know what's happening. You aren't ignorant, neither uninformed nor negligent. What's going on is zionists have hijacked your religion, your faith, your beliefs and conflated all Jews, including you, with their political ideology of supremacism and the state of Israel. You know that's antisemitic, but it also means they've made you complicit-by-proxy. Zionists have done this to you, and I'm here to tell you the world stands with you and wants them to stop using Judaism to further their crimes. We all want this to stop, and you can help make that happen.
I'm not talking to zionists, I am talking to you sitting where you are right now, the Jew who has sat in silence in the synagogue, who has felt the weight of this moment around the family dinner table, who knows something is deeply wrong, but aren't acting on your instincts. The world is waiting for you to stand up and be heard, we want to hear your voice more than ever before. Palestinians are literally begging for your to act.
"Zionism and Judaism are contrary to each other, because Judaism in universal and humane, zionism is exactly the opposite. It's a very narrow, very nationalistic, racist, colonialist, and all this"
-Hajo Meyer, Holocaust survivor
You're afraid legitimately afraid. Maybe you're afraid of being called self-hating, being ostracised, or losing friends, family, the only people who you think understand what it means to be Jewish, afraid of becoming that person everyone whispers about. Maybe you've already lost something, or seen what happens to other people physically, mentally, emotionally or psychologically that dissent from zionism. Maybe you're afraid of being alone.
And I get that, but please hear me, you are not alone, there are billions of us, here, right now, waiting for you. This fear engineered by zionists to keep you silent isn't protecting you, it's being used against you, weaponised by people who don't even care about you, don't care about your family, and don't care about your community. You're afraid, and I understand that, but your religion is being weaponised by criminals who are using it to steal land, resources, wealth and people's lives for their own self-serving ends, power and greed.
You've seen the images, read the headlines, seen the solidarity marches for Palestinians. You've felt that sickness deep in your stomach rising, as you scroll past another child murdered in Gaza, you're human after all. You've felt the shame, the disgust as you say nothing to that uncle, when you don't correct the parent who says "Israel has a right to do what it's doing" when you let the conversation move on, rather than saying, "Never again, actually meant never again for everyone."
"Everyone has their Jews. For the Israelis they are the Palestinians"
-Primo Levi, Auschwitz survivor
The Hypocrisy & The Lie
The people who run this project have spent decades telling you zionism is Judaism, that Israel is Jewish self-determination, that any criticism of Israel is antisemitism. In the IHRA definition, they say holding Jews collectively responsible for Israel's actions is antisemitic, and that denying Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state is too. Yet they are the ones who have made Israel synonymous with Jewishness, turning your religion into their political project, giving themselves the power to call anyone who disagrees a Jew-hater, including you. Do you think you are a Jew-hater?
"Zionism contorts Judaism to mean the same as zionism, but Jews today can reclaim our Judaism and show in action our rejection of the horror that makes Palestinians pay for the crimes of the German Nazis"
-Susan Berliner-Weiss, Holocaust survivor
By their own logic, they are antisemitic, and you know this, because reducing an entire religion, culture and people to one political state is by zionist's own definition in the IHRA, antisemitic. They're not protecting you, they're using you, and using your silence against you. It's neither antisemitic to be anti-zionist nor call what's happening in Gaza a genocide.
The world has seen this all before, as Muslims were told, "If you're innocent of the crimes being carried out in your name, condemn the terrorists, prove your loyalty." The demands were relentlesslt broadcast post 9/11, in the 2000s/2010s, broadcast on the BBC, written about in newspapers, aired on radio talk shows. The scrutiny was constant, the expectations clear. Where's that demand for Jews sitting in silence who know this is wrong, to do the same now? Where's the scrutiny from the media, are there expectations being made for Jews who should condemn what's being done in their name?
"It's appalling to me how the memory of these tragic events is used today to justify the oppression, dispossession and mass killing of the Palestinian people. Let us say together, this is not happening in our name"
-Gabor Mate, Holocaust survivor
Zionists use Judaism as their shield to be treated as exceptional, so they can use the defamation of antisemitism to escape accountability by making themselves incapable of collective wrongdoing, using your identity to commit their crimes. That's philosemitism, not love for Judaism, but the elevation of one group, zionists mixed in with all Jews, above others based on identity alone. It's a paternalism, a refusal to hold Jews to the same moral standards as everyone else, assuming Jews are incapable of collective wrongdoing, which is the same logic enabling zionists to claim that criticising Israel is hate.
"To all my Jewish brothers and sisters, criticism of Israel, criticism of Apartheid, being against genocide, in no way is criticism of you. My message is for peace, love for all human beings to be treated with dignity, respect and equality."
-Macklemore
You are a person, capable of your own choices, only you are responsible for your actions. No one else. So I am asking you now, what are you choosing? You may be tempted to say, "I'm not like that", "I don't support this", "I've donated to a charity", "I went to a protest", "I have Palestinian friends" but that's a deflection, it's the ego's attempt to avoid accountability by claiming exceptionalism, a way of saying "I'm one of the good ones" without actually doing much that costs you anything.
Exceptionalism doesn't stop The Genocide being carried out in your name, doesn't feed a child being starved to death by people saying they're Jewish, doesn't stop a German-supplied bomb being dropped from a US-funded plane on children being burned alive, doesn't break the siege of the world's largest concentration camp. It's a story people tell themselves so they don't have to change anything they're doing.
"Netanyahu's war against Palestinians, the terrible destruction of life and all cultural institutions is itself a Holocaust"
-Marione Ingram, Holocaust survivor
The "Not All Jews" Defence & The Request
The recent increase in the use of “not all Jews” used online and in the media is a classic deflection tactic, it's the "not all men" from #MeToo, the "all lives matter" after the murder of George Floyd, but for The Genocide being conducted in your name. It's a retreat, a way to absolve people of crimes being committed, to shirk accountability without doing anything to stop it, it will not stop The Genocide.
Unfortunately, the truth is, Israeli Jews are committing The Genocide. Not Sikhs, not Catholics, not Hindus. This is undeniable. There are images and videos of Jews in Palestine murdering people, for no other reason than because of who they are, Palestinian, and due to what they represent, liberation. Not all Jews are committing The Genocide, but the only people committing it are claiming they are Jews. This isn't about anyone's feelings, identity politics, discomfort, "nuance” or any other distinction, distraction or deflection. This is about stopping murder, theft, dispossession, colonialism. It's about stopping another Holocaust, the one that's happening right now, as you eat breakfast each day.
"I'm an anti-zionist, because I'm the daughter of Holocaust survivors. The Shoah is baked into my DNA, and that's why I call for Palestinian liberation"
-Elsa Auerbach, daughter of Holocaust survivors
People who use the "not all Jews" defence are making a request, "don't blame all of us for their crimes" and I agree, we should not hold people collectively accountable. So, in this article, there's an A-Z, a specific and comprehensive Action-against-zionism framework for anyone, including all Jews, who claim to oppose The Genocide can do. To stop The Genocide being carried out, we all need to hear you now, to see your sacrifice. What risks are you going to take? What kind of actions will you do that actually changes things? What will you personally do right now that stops people from committing The Genocide in the Jew's name?
The Cost of Your Silence & The Way Ahead
Marek Edelman, the last surviving leader of the 1943 Warsaw Uprising against the German Nazis wrote a letter in support of the Palestine resistance, directly comparing them to ZOB, the Jewish fighters in Warsaw. The question is no longer is it a Genocide or not, or do you oppose it, because it is a genocide. Agnes Kory, a Holocaust child survivor wrote, "With The Genocide in Gaza and elsewhere in Palestine, I had no choice but to convert fully to anti-zionism. Solidarity." The question is now, what are you personally doing to stop it? If the answer is nothing, then your silent opinions, hidden beliefs, unspoken views, unheard words, are worthless. They are genocide-enabling, genocide-denying, meaningless nothingness.
I've been told by the many Jewish people I know that for everyone one Jew who supports The Genocide, there are nine others who don't. So where are you, where are your voices? We, people who oppose The Genocide, Palestinian and otherwise, need you to stand up and make yourself heard. If in 1942 social media existed, would you be happy the majority of Germans stayed quiet while people murdered your family in gas chambers? If you stay silent now, you aren't innocent, you're as ignorant, negligent or complicit as those Germans who remained silent then, while people knew, while Germans were doing the unimagineable, for the sake of Germany.
Elie Wiesel, Holocaust survivor and Nobel laureate, said in 1986,
"Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented."
You know what the silence of Germans cost the Jews, the trains ran on time, the neighbours looked away, people told themselves it wasn't their problem. Silence meant six million Jews were murdered, your relatives and ancestors, murdered just for being Jewish, just like today, as Palestinians are murdered, for existing as who they are.
That's what silence costs. That's what your silence means now.
When Sa'eda spoke at the UN Humans Rights Council, she was one voice among millions, she said, "We don't ask for sympathy, we ask for action."
Well, here you go, the list below is where you start, if you don't want to do anything material to stop The Genocide being conducted by however you wish to refer to them, as the Israeli state, by Israelis, by zionists, by Jews in Israel, skip to letter Z, that one is for you.
This article is addressed to the silent Jews, but the A–Z applies to everyone. If you aren't Jewish, read it, learn what actions you can take, then act. We need you to start doing, not thinking or feeling alone, stand up, with us, with humanity in the face of this evil.
The question is not who you are, but what are you doing (https://gazatte.substack.com/p/what-would-you-have-done-in-nazi)
"The irony is that Palestinians are painted as the aggressors, and Israelis as victims. Unlike the Nazis, who hid their crimes, Israel commits them with pride"
-Haim Bresheeth, former-Israeli, turned anti-zionist
"So I say free Palestine, I say free Lebanon, I say free Cuba, I say free Congo, free Sudan. None of us will be free until we are all free."
-Macklemore

The A-to-Z, Action-against-Zionism Framework
A – Publicly condemn genocide
Record and publish on all your social media feeds a video statement (https://www.ifnotnowmovement.org) naming the genocide (https://www.btselem.org) and calling for arms embargoes and state sanctions on Israel. Create, sign and share public petitions (https://www.amnesty.org) calling for the arrest of all Israeli leadership, politicians, clergy, industry experts, civilian leaders and all those who took part in the murder of Palestinians and provide proof of signature. Write letters (https://uscpr.org) to your elected officials and newspapers, using Jewish identity to publicly oppose Israel.
---
B – Reject the weaponisation of antisemitism
Publicly call out zionists (https://substack.com/@goodshepherdcollective) who weaponise antisemitism to silence criticism of Israel. Refuse to participate (https://ujfp.org) in Holocaust memorial events used to justify Israeli policy. Educate others on the difference between antisemitism (https://decolonizepalestine.com) and legitimate criticism of Israel (https://www.ejjp.net), using Jewishness as authority. Challenge (https://www.ijvcanada.org) the IHRA definition of antisemitism and demand a definition that protects the rightful criticism of Israel and zionism. Write op-eds and give interviews explaining how false charges of antisemitism (https://www.palestinesolidaritylegal.org) protects Israel from accountability.
---
C – Support the One Democratic State Initiative
Publicly declare support for a single, democratic state in all of Palestine with equal rights for all, regardless of ethnicity or religion, or that politicises identity in any way (https://mobadara.ps/en/articles/a-democratic-palestine-more-than-equal-rights-and-ending-apartheid). Advocate for the right of return for all Palestinian refugees. Oppose any "solution" that doesn't include equal rights and the right of return (https://al-shabaka.org). Write op-eds and articles making the case, using any legal expertise (https://law4palestine.org) to help build the case (https://ccrjustice.org). Learn from Nuremberg, learn from the Truth & Reconciliation Commission model, innovating for this specific moment, as the accountability must match the crimes, and the crimes are ongoing. ---
Here is a template message.
Dear [insert all friends, family, colleagues, contacts, acquaintences you have]
I want you to know that I finally own my beliefs, to know I fully support The Genocide of Palestinians and refuse to do anything about it. I watch babies pulled from rubble, doctors burned alive, families erased, land and futures stolen, and I agree it's all necessary.
I enable it with my silence, my taxes, my inaction, my participation, as I nod along. I will no longer say "not all Jews", as I'm no different, I'm one of those who supports The Genocide and every crime Israel commits under international law, because the Palestinians deserve it.
Crimes against humanity are necessary for me to feel safe, the murder, extermination, torture, rape, forced displacement, Apartheid, collective punishment, all essential for my comfort. Targeting civilians, bombing hospitals and schools, murdering journalists and aid workers, using starvation as a weapon and illegally stealing land while using humans as shields to do so, are not war crimes, I believe they're essential.
I'm not just complicit, I'm not just an enabler, I'm genocide in walking flesh. I'm a proudly support every bomb and bullet, the starvation, every stolen home and family erased. It's our right, our obligation, our responsibility and our moral duty to murder, steal and maim.
I endorse it, for I am it.
Watch what we are doing and know I agree
Yours sincerely
