Gaza - Three Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Saturday as a result of Israeli strikes targeting different areas across the Gaza Strip, while medication warehouses belonging to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah were hit, causing extensive damage to medical supplies and parts of the hospital’s infrastructure.

An Israeli drone targeted the eastern entrance of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, firing at least one missile that killed one Palestinian and injured others, including a person whose condition was described as critical.

Medical sources said rescue teams recovered one body from the site along with several injured people, who were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah for treatment.

In Gaza City, two Palestinians were killed and several others sustained varying injuries after an Israeli drone strike targeted a group of Palestinians near Ahmed Pharmacy on Third Street in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, close to the Al-Ghazali area northwest of the city.

Field and medical sources said the drone fired at least two missiles at the location. The two victims were identified as Hassan Ibrahim Qahman and Alaa Imad Al-Tramisi, while several other Palestinians were injured in the attack.

Casualty Figures

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said hospitals across the Strip received eight bodies over the past 48 hours, including seven newly killed Palestinians and one person who died from previous injuries, in addition to 76 injured people.

The ministry said a number of victims remain trapped under rubble and on roads as ambulance and civil defense teams continue to face difficulties reaching them due to ongoing attacks.

It added that the death toll since military operations resumed following the ceasefire on October 11 has reached 1,222 fatalities and 4,053 injuries, in addition to 804 recovered bodies.

The ministry also reported that the overall death toll from the Israeli war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,349 fatalities and 174,162 injuries, in addition to one Palestinian who died after a building collapse, bringing the number of victims from that incident to 33.

Damage to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital

In another development, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said Israeli forces targeted medication warehouses at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah early Saturday, describing the attack as causing serious damage to vital medical facilities.

The ministry said the strike completely destroyed two of the hospital’s four warehouses and caused severe damage to the other two, while also affecting the nearby outpatient clinics building.

It added that large quantities of medicines, medical consumables, and supplies intended for treating patients and the wounded were destroyed, while the attack also caused panic among patients, their families, and medical staff.

The ministry said attacks on healthcare facilities are continuing alongside restrictions on the entry of medicines and medical supplies, as well as preventing thousands of patients and injured people from traveling outside Gaza to receive treatment.

It called on the international community and humanitarian, human rights, and United Nations organizations to take urgent action to protect healthcare facilities, stop attacks against them, and ensure the delivery of essential medical supplies.
