Medical sources confirmed the casualties, noting that one of the strikes targeted a police post in Jabalia refugee camp. Gaza’s Interior Ministry announced the death of Mohammed Salem, director of Jabalia Police Station, along with several officers, after drones fired four missiles directly at the site located inside a crowded marketplace. Witnesses described scenes of panic as civilians rushed to safety amid the explosions.
Political analyst Ahmed Tannani argued that targeting police facilities sends a broader message beyond military objectives, aiming to dismantle Gaza’s administrative and security infrastructure. He warned that repeated strikes on police posts since the ceasefire began are designed to push the territory toward chaos and weaken its ability to maintain order.
Other attacks included the killing of Hossam Al-Shafie in Khan Younis, where three others were injured, and the death of child Moataz Abu Shaar in Rafah. Another victim, Bassam Masad Ermilat, succumbed to injuries from an earlier strike on Al-Qadisiyah camp.
