A 14-year-old Palestinian boy died from his injuries after being shot near the so-called Yellow Line in southern Khan Younis, while three other Palestinians were wounded by Israeli fire in a separate incident in the same area, according to Palestinian reports.
The boy, identified as Suhail Masoud Shalouf, was shot on Saturday near Al-Tina Street, according to Palestinian media reports. His body was recovered by medical teams on Sunday morning after he had remained at the scene for several hours.
A report by Shehab News identified Shalouf as 14 and said he died after sustaining gunshot wounds the previous day.
The Israeli army said it had killed two armed men who crossed the Yellow Line and approached its forces, describing them as a threat. The circumstances surrounding Shalouf's shooting were not independently established in the sources reviewed.
The Yellow Line, established under the October 2025 ceasefire, marks areas where Israeli forces maintain military control inside Gaza. Its position has shifted in several areas, including Khan Younis, according to recent reporting by Reuters and the Associated Press.
In a separate incident, medical sources reported that three Palestinians were wounded by Israeli gunfire after tents sheltering displaced people were targeted in the Bir 19 area of Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis.
The area has repeatedly been the scene of shootings and attacks affecting displaced Palestinians. In July, four Palestinians, including two children, were reported wounded by Israeli gunfire in Al-Mawasi, according to medical sources cited by Anadolu.
The United Nations has also reported continued Israeli military activity around the Yellow Line and warned of the risks facing civilians living near or approaching the shifting boundary.
The recovery of Shalouf's body on Sunday brings the latest reported death linked to gunfire near the Yellow Line in Khan Younis, while Palestinian medical sources continue to report injuries in Al-Mawasi.
