Several areas across the occupied West Bank witnessed a new wave of Israeli military raids and settler attacks early Saturday, leaving a Palestinian teenager and an elderly man wounded by Israeli gunfire.

Israeli forces raided Aqabat Jaber refugee camp south of Jericho, the city of Qalqilya, the village of Kobar near Ramallah, and the town of Kafr Aqab north of Jerusalem.

Troops also entered the town of Ya'bad and the villages of Zababdeh and Burqin in Jenin Governorate, in addition to the village of Far'un south of Tulkarm.

In Nablus Governorate, Israeli forces raided the villages of Tell and Qaryut, as well as the town of Beit Furik. A large-scale arrest campaign was carried out in Tell, while several homes were searched in Beit Furik.

Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters toward Palestinian homes in Qaryut, while settlers attacked houses in the nearby village of Urif, according to local reports.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said Friday evening that a Palestinian teenager was shot by Israeli forces during a raid near Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem, where troops also fired tear gas.

The organization also reported that an elderly Palestinian was wounded by Israeli gunfire in the village of Surra, west of Nablus.

The Palestinian presidency condemned what it described as "crimes committed by the Israeli occupation and terrorist settlers" against Palestinians in the West Bank, warning that the Israeli government is pushing the territory toward a broader explosion as part of its settlement agenda.

The UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in the Palestinian territories told Al Jazeera that settlers are attacking Palestinians with the backing of the Israeli army, arguing that they have increasingly come to influence military actions. She added that Palestinians lack protection from settler violence and called on the United Nations to take action.

The latest developments come after four Palestinians were killed and four others wounded, three of them critically, during an armed settler attack on the town of Tell southwest of Nablus, where residents and their property were targeted.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military announced that an officer and a soldier were killed and three others wounded during clashes near the Havat Gilad settlement outpost. Following the incident, Israeli forces imposed a siege on the city of Nablus and the town of Tell, while deploying additional military reinforcements across the West Bank.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz subsequently instructed the military to launch a large-scale operation in several West Bank villages and announced measures to legalize existing settlement outposts and establish new ones.
