Gaza City witnessed a violent night as heavy Israeli airstrikes targeted residential areas and main streets across western Gaza.

According to local and Israeli media reports, Israeli warplanes and drones carried out multiple strikes on a residential apartment inside Al-Mu’taz Tower near the Abu Al-Kass intersection in Al-Rimal neighborhood, while another strike targeted a vehicle near Al-Yarmouk Stadium on Al-Wahda Street.

Several Hebrew media outlets reported that the operation was part of a coordinated attack, with Israeli channels claiming the strikes were linked to an attempted assassination of a senior commander in the Qassam Brigades. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the outcome of the reported operation.

Residents reported continuous explosions across the area as additional strikes hit nearby buildings within a short period, causing panic and widespread destruction.

Medical sources said multiple casualties and more than 20 injuries were transferred to Al-Shifa Medical Complex and the Red Crescent field hospital following the attacks.

Emergency crews and civil defense teams continued evacuating the wounded and searching targeted areas throughout the night.
