The United States continued its military operations against Iran early Friday for a thirteenth consecutive night. Washington says the campaign is intended to reduce Iranian threats to maritime security in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, while Iranian authorities reported casualties and damage from the attacks.

Iranian authorities said the U.S. strikes caused human and material losses across several provinces. The attacks extended to Isfahan province, where the deputy governor said a U.S. strike targeted an area in the city of Nain during the early morning hours.

In a related development, the Kuwaiti military announced on Thursday evening that its air defence systems had intercepted hostile missiles and drones. It said they were launched as part of what it described as the “heinous Iranian aggression,” amid an expanding regional military confrontation.

Meanwhile, Israeli violations of the ceasefire and the framework agreement continued in Lebanon, as the “pilot zones” mechanism remained in effect in the southern town of Zawtar al-Gharbiya.
