The United States has removed UN expert Francesca Albanese from its sanctions list, according to the U.S. Treasury Department website.

The decision follows a temporary court order issued last week by a federal judge, who found that the sanctions imposed by the administration of President Donald Trump likely violated Albanese’s right to free speech.

The sanctions had been imposed after Albanese publicly criticized Israel’s military actions in Gaza.
