Israeli troops stormed a wedding hall in the village of Bartaa, north of Jenin, on Friday evening and detained groom Yazan Mohammed Qabha, taking him to an undisclosed location. No reasons were given for the arrest, which came as part of Israel’s daily detention campaigns in the West Bank.

Settlers attacked the village of Masoud near Jenin, firing live ammunition and spreading panic among residents. In Bethlehem, Israeli forces closed roads in Husan village with earth mounds and rocks, restricting movement. Local officials reported repeated closures and raids, including in Al-Khader and Dheisheh camp, where tear gas was fired at civilians ahead of Eid al-Adha.

In Hebron, settlers stormed homes and neighborhoods near Kiryat Arba settlement, conducting provocative marches and religious rituals accompanied by insults against Palestinians. Israeli forces reinforced military measures and shut parts of the Old City.

The West Bank has witnessed a surge in settler violence under army protection, particularly in rural areas near settlements. According to the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, 1,637 settler attacks were recorded in April alone. Since the Gaza war began in October 2023, Israeli and settler assaults in the West Bank have killed 1,162 Palestinians, injured over 12,000, and led to nearly 23,000 arrests.
