Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, said the West Bank is witnessing mass killings of unarmed civilians while Gaza continues to face Israeli bombardment.

In a post on her account on the platform X on Saturday, Albanese said that "Israeli civilians and army soldiers are working together," arguing that the issue "is not only about (Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu or a few corrupt individuals, but this is Israel."

She called for an immediate ban on arms supplies to Israel and a halt to trade with the country, saying that "this is what international law requires."

In another post on X, Albanese warned of escalating violent attacks across the West Bank, particularly in its northern areas and the city of Nablus.

She said that "groups of terrorist settlers, supported by Israeli occupation soldiers, are carrying out widespread attacks and are literally calling for bloodshed."

Albanese urged countries to deploy an international protective presence in the West Bank and take measures to safeguard civilians from escalating violence. She attached images showing calls by settlers for the killing of Palestinians, including statements such as "we want to see blood" and "there is no rest without revenge."

The UN rapporteur also shared videos showing armed settlers carrying out attacks and crimes against Palestinians alongside Israeli forces. She referred to reports that settlers opened fire on Palestinians in the village of Tal, west of Nablus, and the town of Far’ata, east of Qalqilya.

She also pointed to Israeli calls, backed by officials, to turn the West Bank into another Gaza, urging an end to what she described as criminal acts against Palestinians.

"These criminals must be stopped," she said.

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said in a post on X on Friday that the "rule" over West Bank cities and villages "must be like the rule of Beit Hanoun in Gaza," in what was described as a call for destruction and displacement.

Ben-Gvir added that he would participate in a security meeting called by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying: "I will demand an order for the Israeli army to erase the homes of terrorists and their supporters from the air and through D9 bulldozers."

"For every Jew who is killed, the enemy must pay with losses in land and homes. This is the language used in the Middle East, and as we used it in Gaza, it is time to use it in Judea and Samaria," he said, referring to the occupied West Bank.

Settlers launched a wide wave of attacks across different parts of the West Bank starting Friday afternoon, following the killing of two Israeli soldiers, including one from the security unit of the Havat Gilad settlement.

The incident occurred as residents of Tal village, southwest of Nablus, confronted a settler attack on their community, which resulted in the killing of four Palestinians: brothers Ibrahim Hussein Ali Saifi and Jawad Hussein Ali Saifi, their cousin Farouq Adnan Ali Saifi, and their relative Imran Ahmad Ali Saifi.
