A medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital said the bodies arrived after Israeli artillery targeted a civilian gathering on Kashko Street in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

The source added that several Palestinians, including women and children, were wounded after an Israeli helicopter targeted a residential apartment on Eidiya Street, west of Gaza City.

Emergency teams reported that a Palestinian woman was injured by Israeli gunfire outside areas under Israeli control in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, a Palestinian sustained moderate injuries after Israeli forces opened fire near the Hamad residential complex in the northern part of the city. Israeli artillery also targeted the Sheikh Nasser area and the vicinity of Bani Suheila roundabout east of Khan Younis, with no injuries reported.

Israeli naval boats shelled and fired at the coast of Gaza City, while eastern areas of Jabalia refugee camp came under artillery fire and helicopter gunfire.

Meanwhile, Israeli settlers are preparing to organize a march on Sunday evening toward the Gaza border to demand the re-establishment of settlements inside the Strip, with the participation of ministers and Knesset members.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, the march, organized by the settlement movement "Nachala", will begin at the Yad Mordechai junction and head toward the Kerem Shalom area in the western Negev.

The event will be held under the slogans "Put a stamp on the border – settle in Gaza now" and "Return home after 21 years", as part of a campaign calling for renewed settlement in Gaza, following Israel's withdrawal from the territory in 2005.

The newspaper reported that several Israeli ministers are expected to participate, including Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Social Equality Minister May Golan, Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi, Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli, and Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu, along with several Knesset members.

Nachala leader Daniella Weiss said the march represents the beginning of a series of activities aimed at promoting the return of settlements to Gaza.

The Israeli military also announced the closure of parts of the western Negev bordering Gaza as a military zone from Sunday morning until Monday morning, citing security preparations and continued military deployment around the Strip.

The move toward renewed settlement in Gaza contradicts US President Donald Trump's plan to end the Israeli war on the territory, which has continued since October 2023.
