U.S. President Donald Trump said he is nearing a decision to launch new strikes against Iran, accusing Tehran of wasting valuable time in negotiations that could have yielded major benefits. Speaking to Fox News, Trump stated he is prepared to order attacks targeting power stations and bridges inside Iran.

He stressed that Iran “will pay the price” for prolonging talks, adding that “the era of the Middle East bully is completely over.” Trump described Iran’s military as being in chaos, claiming that many of its components—including naval and air forces—“no longer exist.” He also hailed the naval blockade on Iran as “the most successful in the history of naval warfare.”

Meanwhile, Reuters reported that Qatari negotiators arrived in Tehran today in an effort to reach a final agreement following consultations with Washington.
