If held, this would be their first meeting since February, when Netanyahu presented his plan for a joint war against Iran during a session in the Situation Room. Netanyahu’s office confirmed he called Trump Friday to congratulate him on the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, praising America as a guarantor of global freedom and reaffirming close bilateral ties.

Israeli media, however, reported uncertainty over preparations. Maariv cited officials saying next week may be too soon, given Trump’s commitments including a planned visit to Turkey. The meeting could be delayed, with the date still unconfirmed.

Analysts expect the talks to cover red lines on Iran’s nuclear program, with Netanyahu urging Trump to adopt a “maximum pressure” policy. Gaza and Lebanon are also likely to feature prominently, as Trump is expected to push Israel to conclude its wars swiftly.
