Hospitals in Gaza reported that six people, including a young girl, were killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza City and Al-Bureij refugee camp since dawn. A drone strike later targeted Al-Sabra neighborhood in southern Gaza City, injuring several civilians. These incidents occurred despite the ceasefire agreement that has been in place since October 10, 2025. According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, Israeli violations of the truce had already resulted in 1,098 deaths and 3,535 injuries as of Saturday.

Meanwhile, in the West Bank, seven members of the Jabour family—including an elderly man and two children—were injured in an assault by Israeli settlers in the village of Huwara, near Masafer Yatta in Hebron. Witnesses reported that settlers attacked the family with physical violence and pepper spray. A widely circulated video showed a settler spraying pepper directly into the face of Ibrahim Jabour, an elderly shepherd, causing him to collapse while his family screamed in distress.

Masafer Yatta has faced escalating settler violence, with near-daily attacks aimed at forcing Palestinians off their land. The Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented 3,488 settler assaults in the first half of 2026, including home burnings, vehicle arson, shootings, land seizures, and the establishment of new outposts.

In parallel, Israeli forces launched a series of raids across the West Bank, arresting 22 Palestinians. The Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office reported that raids targeted towns in Tulkarm, Nablus, Hebron, and Jerusalem. In Tulkarm, eight people were detained, including a father and son, while other arrests occurred in Deir al-Ghusun, Dhannaba, Beit Furik, and Sa’ir. In Jerusalem, one man was taken from his home in Qalandiya camp.

Currently, around 9,500 Palestinians are held in Israeli prisons, including children and women, under harsh conditions marked by deprivation, torture, and medical neglect. Rights groups note that dozens have died in custody. Since October 8, 2023, Israeli military and settler actions in the West Bank have killed 1,179 Palestinians and injured nearly 13,000 others.
