Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi marked the 74th anniversary of the July 23 Revolution of 1952 by reaffirming Egypt’s commitment to stability, development and protecting its national interests amid regional challenges.

In a televised speech, Sisi called for ending wars and conflicts, urging restraint, dialogue and negotiations instead of escalation and the use of force. He reiterated Egypt’s rejection of attacks against Arab countries and stressed the importance of regional peace and security.

Sisi highlighted Egypt’s development efforts since 2014, saying the country has pursued modernization projects, expanded infrastructure, improved education and healthcare, developed energy sectors, and launched initiatives such as “Decent Life” to improve living conditions.

He credited the Egyptian people, armed forces, police and state institutions for preserving security and stability, saying their awareness and commitment helped the country overcome difficult circumstances.

Sisi described the July Revolution as a historic milestone that inspired liberation movements in the Arab world and Africa, stressing that Egypt continues efforts to build a modern and strong state capable of protecting its people and resources.
