Eastern Khan Younis witnessed intense clashes and multiple armed confrontations on Tuesday after Palestinian resistance fighters reportedly targeted armed groups accused of collaborating with the Israeli military.
Local sources reported heavy quadcopter gunfire near Rafah Garage in central Khan Younis earlier in the day, followed by the arrival of large numbers of wounded civilians suffering gunshot injuries from several areas across the city.
Later, additional injuries were reported near Moza Junction east of Khan Younis after Israeli forces opened live fire in the area.
According to field reports, resistance fighters carried out a series of coordinated ambushes targeting armed groups operating in the Al-Masriyeen neighborhood and around Moza Roundabout east of Rafah Garage.
Sources stated that fighters directly engaged several vehicles belonging to the groups at close range, resulting in deaths and injuries among those inside. One vehicle was reportedly abandoned following the clashes before later being struck by Israeli forces.
Israeli media also confirmed what it described as a “security incident” in southern Gaza involving attacks on armed groups operating alongside the Israeli army east of Khan Younis.
The resistance fighters reportedly withdrew safely following the operations.
