Israeli military operations expanded across several areas of the occupied West Bank on Monday, including mass arrests in Tulkarm, the demolition of a residential building in Jenin and orders to seize Palestinian land in Tubas.

In the Nablus area, a pregnant Palestinian woman lost her fetus after Israeli forces held an ambulance carrying her at a military checkpoint for more than half an hour.

Emergency Journey Blocked at Checkpoint

The woman, a resident of Qaryut who was six months pregnant, was experiencing severe bleeding when an ambulance attempted to transport her through the Awarta checkpoint south of Nablus.

Israeli soldiers closed the checkpoint gates, prevented the vehicle from passing and detained the medical crew. The woman was also searched despite her critical condition.

The crew was ordered to switch off the ambulance’s engine, causing the medical support equipment inside the vehicle to stop operating.

More than 30 minutes later, the ambulance was permitted to continue toward the hospital. Medical staff succeeded in saving the woman’s life, but her fetus did not survive.

Twenty Arrested Across Tulkarm

The incident came as Israeli forces continued a large-scale arrest campaign in Tulkarm and its surrounding towns for a second consecutive day.

Twenty Palestinians, including one woman, were arrested during raids across the governorate.

Five people were detained in Deir Al-Ghusun after soldiers entered their homes and damaged their contents. Three young men were arrested in Al-Ras, while additional arrests were carried out in Far’un, Anabta and Shuweika.

Residential Building Demolished in Jenin

Southwest of Jenin, Israeli forces demolished a three-storey home in the Arraba Station area.

Three military bulldozers entered the area alongside infantry units and military vehicles. Forces closed local entrances and surrounded the property before demolishing the home of Jihad Mousa.

Mousa had received a demolition order several months earlier over an alleged lack of a construction permit. Legal objections submitted to prevent the demolition were unsuccessful.

The operation followed a series of demolitions, land-clearing activities and attacks on Palestinian property in the surrounding area.

Nearly 500 Dunams Targeted in Tubas

Six military orders were also issued for the seizure of 498 dunams of Palestinian land east of Tubas.

The targeted areas include land belonging to Tubas, Tayasir, Al-Aqaba, Ibziq and Raba. The orders form part of the Israeli project known as the “Red Thread,” which was announced late last year and began being implemented in 2026.

Around 360 dunams—approximately 72.3 percent of the targeted area—had previously been classified by Israel as “state land.”

Earlier military orders resulted in the seizure of hundreds of dunams and the isolation of thousands more from Palestinian agricultural and pastoral communities, particularly in the northern Jordan Valley.

Agricultural land and water pipelines have also been destroyed in Atouf, affecting farming and the local economy.
