Israeli media reported Tuesday that the Peace Council will begin a pilot project to manage humanitarian shelters in Gaza within weeks. Multinational stabilization forces are expected to arrive in Israel soon, stationed at Amity base near the enclave before deployment.

According to Israel Hayom, the first shelter site will be in Tel Sultan near Rafah, designated for civilians “without ties to Hamas.” The forces will reportedly use non-lethal weapons to maintain order, while the Israeli army continues to control areas beyond the so-called “yellow line.” Supplies of food and medicine are planned for the shelters, which Israel claims will weaken Hamas’s influence.

Logistical hubs are being set up in Israel’s Gaza periphery to support the initiative. The Peace Council confirmed the arrival of tactical vehicles at the Endurance support zone near Kerem Shalom crossing, serving as a staging area for equipment and personnel.

Hamas responded by urging the Peace Council to implement ceasefire provisions, including introducing a national committee to manage Gaza, ensuring real relief, and compelling Israel to withdraw. The movement also demanded reconstruction efforts, calling them a fundamental right for all Palestinians.

The announcement underscores ongoing disputes over Gaza’s governance and humanitarian relief, with international forces expected to play a role in separating civilians from Israeli military operations and monitoring ceasefire compliance.
