Medical sources at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis confirmed the death of paramedic Maysara Salah al-Khawaja and the critical injury of another medic after a drone strike on a civilian vehicle in al-Mawasi, west of the city. In northern Gaza, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported the death of 17-year-old student Raghad Hussein Ashour and three injuries following airstrikes near al-Rehab Mall, close to the Jawwal company headquarters.
Witnesses said multiple missiles struck the vehicle and surrounding area on Ahmed Abdel Aziz Street in al-Rimal, a densely populated district where students were gathering for exams. Israeli artillery and helicopter fire also targeted eastern Gaza City, including al-Zaytoun neighborhood, amid heavy shelling across the eastern sector.
The attacks mark another breach of the ceasefire announced on October 10, 2025. On Sunday, Gaza’s health ministry reported that Israel has killed 1,021 Palestinians and wounded 3,249 since the truce took effect. Overall, the war since October 8, 2023 has left 73,032 dead and 173,357 injured. Beyond human losses, Israel has destroyed about 90% of Gaza’s infrastructure, with UN estimates putting reconstruction costs at $70 billion.
