Palestine achieved a new milestone in innovation and technology after CyberGirls Palestine won first place in Asia’s Technovation competition, a global program encouraging girls to use technology and AI to solve community challenges.
The team consisted of Noor Ibrahim Al-Sharif from Suad Al-Natsheh Girls School and Lilia Basel Musleh from Maliha Shawar Girls School in Hebron, supervised by teachers Dana and Dania Murqa. Their winning project, “Jusoor,” is a smart application designed to empower families of children with developmental delays and learning difficulties. It provides tailored guidance, suitable activities, and reliable resources, while offering a platform for communication between parents and specialists, and connecting families with similar experiences.
Beyond the continental victory, both students received scholarships in recognition of their excellence. Noor Al-Sharif said: “This achievement proves small ideas can make a big impact when turned into practical solutions. I hope Jusoor truly supports families and children in need.” Lilia Musleh added: “Winning first place in Asia motivates us to keep innovating and expand Jusoor to reach more families.”
This success highlights the advanced level of Palestinian girls in innovation, programming, and AI, and demonstrates the ability of Palestinian youth to excel internationally despite challenges. It adds to Palestine’s record of global achievements, reinforcing that investment in education, innovation, and tech entrepreneurship opens wide horizons for impactful community solutions.
