Nine Palestinians were killed and others wounded, including children, in a series of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City, despite the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025. A source at al-Shifa Hospital confirmed the casualties after four residential apartments were targeted.

Earlier on Wednesday, four Palestinians, including a woman, were killed in separate Israeli attacks, part of ongoing violations of the ceasefire. Two more were killed and others injured when an Israeli drone struck a home in al-Maghazi refugee camp, while another Palestinian died in a drone strike on al-Mughraqa.

Al-Nasser Hospital later reported the death of a woman from severe injuries sustained in a previous Israeli strike on Khan Younis. Witnesses also described extensive demolitions carried out by Israeli forces in northern and southern Gaza, including at least ten buildings destroyed in Khan Younis and two violent demolitions in eastern Gaza City.

Israel’s campaign, which began in October 2023 with U.S. support, has been described as a genocide. Over two years, it killed around 73,000 Palestinians and injured about 173,000, mostly women and children, while devastating 90% of civilian infrastructure. Despite the ceasefire declared in October 2025, Israel continues daily bombardments and restrictions on humanitarian aid, killing 936 Palestinians and injuring 2,903 since then.
