The National Committee for Gaza Administration (NCAG), chaired by Dr. Ali Abdul Hamid Shaath, convened a coordination meeting with representatives of the European Union, the United Nations, and the World Bank to discuss the findings of the Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (RDNA) in the Gaza Strip, as well as priorities for early recovery, reconstruction, coordination mechanisms, and international support during the coming phase.
Participants emphasized the importance of ensuring that the recovery and reconstruction process is led by Palestinians, highlighting the central role of the National Committee in coordinating national and international efforts and preparing for the recovery and reconstruction phase in a systematic and sustainable manner.
During the meeting, representatives of the European Union, the United Nations, and the World Bank presented the key findings of the rapid assessment, including the scale of damage, losses, and needs across vital sectors, as well as the requirements for restoring essential services and stimulating economic and social recovery.

For his part, Dr. Ali Shaath stated that the National Committee has adopted the assessment findings as the primary reference for developing recovery and reconstruction plans and programs. He noted that the Committee has completed the preparation of intervention priorities and sectoral implementation plans, enabling it to begin work immediately once the necessary conditions are in place and to respond rapidly to citizens’ needs.
The Committee’s Commissioners also reviewed the priorities for the next phase across the health, housing, infrastructure, economy, agriculture, telecommunications, and social protection sectors. They stressed the importance of complementarity between national efforts and international support, as well as partnerships with municipalities, national institutions, the private sector, and civil society organizations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives of the European Union, the United Nations, and the World Bank reaffirmed their commitment to continuing technical cooperation and coordination with the National Committee in support of recovery, reconstruction, and sustainable development efforts in the Gaza Strip.
The National Committee for Gaza Administration further confirmed its readiness to commence field operations as soon as the necessary conditions are established, placing service to citizens, addressing their needs, and strengthening their resilience at the forefront of its priorities.
