The Palestinian Ministry of Health said Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip over the last 48 hours resulted in the deaths of 13 civilians, including women and children, while 57 others sustained injuries of varying severity.

It noted that some of the wounded are in urgent need of surgical intervention, amid a severe shortage of medicines, medical supplies, and essential healthcare resources.

The Ministry stressed that targeting civilians and residential areas constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law, which guarantees the protection of civilians during armed conflict.

It added that the ongoing escalation is further deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza and obstructing efforts aimed at restoring stability.

The Ministry called on the international community and human rights organizations to assume their responsibilities, urging immediate action to halt the attacks and ensure the delivery of urgent medical and humanitarian aid.
