Macron said the summit allowed deeper coordination with partner states on reconstruction and security measures in Gaza. On Ukraine, leaders met President Volodymyr Zelensky, pledging continued financial and military support, including air defense systems and long-range capabilities. Trump emphasized mobilizing U.S. industry, while leaders agreed Ukraine should be licensed to produce weapons domestically and strengthen energy infrastructure ahead of winter. Macron declared Ukraine is advancing while Russia retreats, with the G7 imposing further sanctions on Moscow.

The summit adopted nine statements covering cancer cooperation, Ebola prevention, international partnerships, supply chain resilience (especially minerals), balanced growth, anti-trafficking, and digital safety for youth. The three-day summit in Evian included leaders from Brazil, India, Qatar, Egypt, and the UAE, reflecting France’s effort to broaden the G7 beyond its founding members: the U.S., UK, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, and Japan.
