Israeli occupation forces opened heavy gunfire from tanks on areas east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to local and medical sources.
The shelling targeted eastern areas near the border, particularly around Bani Suheila, where at least one Palestinian was reported killed by live fire. There was no immediate confirmation of additional casualties.
n a separate incident earlier on Sunday, a 15-year-old Palestinian boy was killed in a drone strike in southern Khan Younis, medical sources said.
Witnesses described intense and heavy gunfire from tanks, which caused panic among residents living near the eastern border areas.
The incidents come amid ongoing ceasefire violations, as Israeli forces continue to carry out periodic attacks across the Gaza Strip. Since the ceasefire agreement in October 2025, repeated violations have raised concerns about the deteriorating security situation.
Tensions remain high in Gaza, particularly in eastern Khan Younis, where continued military activity poses a threat to civilians.
