Israeli drone strikes targeted the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon, while heavy artillery shelling hit the outskirts of Kfar Tebnit, Nabatieh al-Fawqa, and Harouf as part of a wider escalation across southern Lebanon.

At the same time, the Israeli military issued urgent evacuation warnings to residents in several southern villages, ordering civilians to immediately leave their homes and move at least 1,000 meters away into open areas ahead of planned strikes targeting Hezbollah positions. Israel claimed the operations were in response to alleged Hezbollah violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced that residents of nine villages were instructed to evacuate for their safety as Israeli forces prepared additional strikes in the area.

Earlier, Israeli artillery shelling and demolitions targeted multiple villages in southern Lebanon, while clashes were reported between Israeli troops and Hezbollah fighters in the village of al-Bayyada.

Artillery fire also struck the villages of Baraachit, Safad al-Batikh, Toulin, Ghhandourieh, and Frun. After midnight, shelling reportedly expanded toward Majdel Zoun, Mansouri, and Bayyout al-Siyad, followed by renewed machine-gun fire around al-Bayyada, where direct confrontations were said to have taken place.

Israeli forces also launched illumination flares over villages in the western and central sectors of southern Lebanon. In Bint Jbeil, homes in the al-Jabaneh neighborhood were reportedly demolished while artillery fire continued around Ghhandourieh.

The Israeli military said it had carried out more than 85 strikes over the past 24 hours against Hezbollah positions, including weapons depots, launch sites, and infrastructure allegedly used in attacks against Israeli forces and civilians. It also claimed to have targeted an underground weapons production facility in the Bekaa Valley.

Despite the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah that entered into force on April 17, and subsequent extensions following indirect talks mediated in Washington, Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon have continued, causing casualties and injuries.

Both Israel and Hezbollah continue to accuse each other of violating the ceasefire, while Hezbollah has repeatedly announced rocket and drone attacks targeting Israeli forces and Israeli territory.
