The Iraqi Oil Ministry announced an increase in gasoline supplies to 40 million liters per day over the past two days to meet growing domestic demand and avoid disruptions, according to the Iraqi News Agency.  

Hussein Talib, Director General of the Oil Products Distribution Company, said the company took proactive measures to secure strategic reserves of petroleum products and gas, following directives from Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Oil Minister. These steps aim to prepare for periods of high demand, particularly during holidays and public events.  

Talib confirmed that both regular and improved gasoline are produced locally, with sufficient quantities available to meet market needs. He noted that demand surged during Eid al-Adha due to increased travel and mobility, prompting the company to provide additional supplies.  

Previously, the company distributed around 33 million liters of gasoline daily. The recent increase to 40 million liters reflects efforts to match consumption levels and ensure uninterrupted service for citizens.
