Tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel escalated after Ibrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Committee, announced a proposed bill that would offer a €50 million reward for the assassination of US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and US CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper.

Azizi said the proposal, titled “Reciprocal Response by the Military and Security Forces of the Islamic Republic,” is expected to be voted on soon in parliament. According to Iranian state media, the bill is framed as a retaliatory measure following what Iranian officials described as the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In televised remarks, Azizi used harsh rhetoric against Trump and Netanyahu, describing them as legitimate targets for retaliation. Iranian MP Mahmoud Nabavian also backed the proposal, warning that any threats against Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei would trigger a “devastating” response.

The development comes amid rising exchanges of threats between Tehran and Washington. Earlier, an Iranian group known as “Blood Covenant” reportedly announced a $40 million reward for Trump’s assassination following US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

Meanwhile, the United States raised its own rewards to $10 million for information regarding senior Iranian political and security leaders, including Mojtaba Khamenei, through the State Department’s “Rewards for Justice” program.

The escalation coincides with reports of indirect talks continuing between Washington and Tehran through Pakistani mediation, amid deep mistrust and uncertainty over whether diplomacy can prevent further confrontation.

Trump recently revealed that he had backed away from planned military strikes on Iran after requests from Gulf allies, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, while stressing that military action remains an option if negotiations fail.

Trump has survived several assassination attempts during his second term. Previously, the US Department of Justice charged an Iranian man in connection with an alleged assassination plot tied to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.
