Iranian media reported that the plan largely mirrors a previous version rejected by President Donald Trump, who called it “garbage.”

Trump confirmed postponing a planned Tuesday strike on Iran, citing requests from Saudi, Qatari, and Emirati leaders who urged diplomacy. He said talks were “serious” and expressed hope for an agreement preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

A Pakistani source said Islamabad continues to mediate between the sides, noting both keep adjusting their conditions. Reports suggest Washington may release a quarter of Iran’s frozen assets and allow limited peaceful nuclear activity under IAEA supervision.

U.S. officials denied agreeing to lift oil sanctions, while Iranian sources claimed partial flexibility. The ceasefire between Iran and Israel has largely held since April, despite recent drone launches from Iraq toward Gulf states.

Thousands have died in U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran and Lebanon, with massive displacement in Lebanon due to Israeli operations against Hezbollah. Trump and Netanyahu have justified the war as an effort to dismantle Iran’s nuclear and missile programs and weaken its regional influence.
