Hamas has so far rejected a proposal presented by the Peace Council to disarm, with a response requested by tomorrow, according to reports by Haaretz.

The High Representative of the Peace Council met with the head of Hamas’s negotiating delegation to discuss the second phase of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza. However, sources speaking to Haaretz indicated that the discussions failed to produce any breakthrough.

A Hamas source stated that the movement will not give up its weapons without guarantees that Israel will fully implement the first phase of the agreement.

The developments highlight continued deadlock in negotiations, with key disagreements remaining unresolved.
