Israeli violations over the past 24 hours killed one Palestinian and injured several others across the Gaza Strip. The army issued evacuation orders for Abu al-Ajeen, east of Deir al-Balah, forcing hundreds to flee west amid reports of a ten-day military operation.

At dawn, Israeli artillery shelled Bani Suhaila near Khan Younis, extending fire toward al-Bureij camp and Juhor al-Dik in central Gaza. Tanks also opened fire east of Khan Younis, while occupation forces demolished several homes east of Gaza City.

Separately, 420 employees of the World Kitchen were notified their contracts would end on May 20, sparking concern among the remaining 300 staff. The organization halted support to many local kitchens serving displaced families in Khan Younis and central Gaza, depriving tens of thousands of meals.

Statistics show that since the ceasefire on October 11, 856 Palestinians have been killed, 2,463 injured, and 770 bodies recovered. Since the start of Israel’s assault on October 7, 2023, the toll has reached 72,742 killed and 172,565 injured.
