Four Palestinians and one Israeli were killed during a deadly outbreak of violence near Nablus in the occupied West Bank on Friday, according to Palestinian and Israeli health officials.

Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency service said one person was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting near Nablus.

The Israeli emergency service said the incident occurred on Friday morning near the Israeli settlement of Havat Gilad. Its initial statement did not identify who carried out the shooting or who killed the Israeli man.

Separately, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Israeli forces killed at least four Palestinians in the village of Tell, southwest of Nablus.

The ministry added that four other Palestinians were wounded by Israeli fire while residents confronted an attack by settlers. Three of those injured were reported to be in critical condition.

Palestinian officials said settlers had attacked residents’ homes in Tell and opened live fire toward the properties.

According to the Palestinian account, residents went outside to confront the settlers before Israeli forces arrived and opened fire alongside them.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said 82 Palestinians have been killed across the occupied West Bank since the beginning of 2026, including 21 who were killed by Israeli settlers.
