Iran’s armed forces spokesman, Abu al-Fadl Shekarchi, vowed that any “reckless act” by Washington would be met with a stronger response, warning that U.S. interests and forces across the region could face sudden attacks.

Meanwhile, sources cited by Fars News said Washington outlined five main conditions in its reply to Tehran’s proposal:

  1. Refusal to pay compensation to Iran.

  • Transfer of 400 kilograms of enriched uranium to the U.S.

  • Suspension of nuclear activity at all facilities except one.

  • No release of Iran’s frozen assets.

  • Ceasefire on all fronts.

    • The U.S. reportedly linked halting regional conflicts to the resumption of negotiations, signaling its insistence that talks remain the path to de-escalation.

    Trump posted an image on Truth Social showing warships—including one flying Iran’s flag—with the caption “Calm before the storm.” He later told France’s BFM TV that Iran would face “a very tough time” if no agreement is reached soon.

    Following stalled talks, Washington imposed a blockade on Iranian ports, including those on the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Tehran responded by restricting ship passage unless coordinated with its authorities, raising fears of renewed conflict and global energy instability.

    Since late February, U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran have reportedly killed over 3,000 people, according to Tehran, which claims its retaliatory attacks have killed both American and Israeli personnel.
