Speakers at the event stressed that “the path of justice always prevails,” vowing not to remain silent about Gaza. They called for larger convoys and broader mobilization until Palestine is liberated, expressing confidence in the resilience of Palestinian children.

Polish activist Laura highlighted the plight of thousands of Palestinians in Israeli prisons, including at least 400 children, saying their suffering far outweighs what activists endured. Another activist emphasized that their mission is to deliver humanitarian aid and keep global attention on Gaza, warning that silence amounts to complicity.

She criticized Israel as a “state funded and supported by major powers,” insisting that activists are exercising a right protected under international law. She also noted difficulties faced in eastern Libya under forces loyal to Khalifa Haftar.

Amnesty International had earlier urged Haftar’s forces to release 10 convoy activists detained near Sirte on May 24. They were transferred to Benghazi and held without access to lawyers or families.

The convoy’s release comes after Israel intercepted the maritime Freedom Flotilla in May, preventing 50 boats carrying 428 activists from 44 countries from reaching Gaza with humanitarian aid.
